Organization administrators can use the VIF Care app on a smartphone or tablet to view accounts within their organization. In some cases, they can also update account information.
Before you begin
Your organization’s account administrator will provide:
The login phone number.
A fixed OTP, which is the verification code you will use to sign in.
Open the VIF Care app on your smartphone or tablet.
Select Login with phone.
Enter the phone number provided by your account administrator.
Select Send.
When prompted, enter the fixed OTP provided by your administrator to complete sign-in.
Email login is not currently available for administrator access, even though a Login with email option appears on the screen.
Find an account
After signing in, your organization’s accounts appear on the Main page. Care Recipient accounts are also called Profile Accounts.
Search by name or address, then select an account to open its Personal Profile page.
Remember to tap on the magnifying glass at the end of the search line to execute the search.
Can I update an account?
Unlike the VIF Portal, which provides view-only access, the VIF Care app allows organization administrators to update certain accounts. Editing access depends on how the account was established.
Accounts set up by the organization administrator
Organization administrators can update accounts they established, provided the account has not been assigned to an individual Account Holder using that person’s cell phone number.
Accounts managed by an individual Account Holder
When an individual’s cell phone number is used to establish them as the Account Holder, only members of that account’s Care Circle with administrator privileges can update it.
Being an organization administrator does not automatically give you permission to edit an individually managed account. You must also have administrator privileges within that account’s Care Circle.
What if I can view an account but cannot edit it?
Your organization access may allow you to view the account without making changes. For an individually managed account, contact the Account Holder or an existing Care Circle administrator about the access you need.
